Hi all,

I'm making rice krispie squares in all different shapes, flowers, stars etc for the school bake sale. I want to decorate them but not with royal icing. I don't want to use meringue powder because I want it to be egg free, for those people with allergies.

Can you suggest an icing recipe that will get hard when it dries?
Will icing sugar and water work?

Thanks
M

Yes, icing (powdered) sugar and water will work, but I'd suggest adding an extract to it for flavor.

You could always dip/ decorate them with coating chocolate!

I agree with using white chocolate or other candy coatings.

Not only looks great, but tastes great also!
