If you are talking about mixing fresh fruit in buttercream, I would say 3 days. I have never done this but I know in the bakeries you can put fresh fruit on a cake, if it is covered with a glaze, and leave it out for 3 days.

When I use fresh fruit on a cake I always do it with Pastry Pride or whipped cream, they usually are gone very fast because it's a good combination of flavors, not very sweet icon_wink.gif , but if you need to keep it I'll say maybe 4 days but they have to be in the fridge.
