I plan on doing either a FBCT or a Chocolate Transfer for my son's graduation cake. I see a lot of people prefer a chocolate transfer over the other, can you tell me why and the ingredients for the chocolate itself? Both dark and white for coloring....

i think most people just use the chocolate melts.
There's no "recipe". If you look for "chocolate transfer tutorial", I think you can find a good one here. You just melt the chocolate wafers and put them in a piping bag and pipe!
For coloring, you should get candy colors. You can usually get them from Wilton or Americolor. I know I order from countrykitchensa.com .
