I have to make a cake with shiny stripes but I don't have confectiones glaze.
Can someone please tell me how to get the stripes shiny or glossy.
Thanks,
Zuyata

Or paint them with a mixture of vodka and food coloring...

I tried vodka with color and crisco but when it dries it loses its shine or gloss. Luster dusts don't give that glossy shine.
Thanks for trying to help.

A mixture of corn syrup and vodka will give a glossy shine. I have some cookies in my photos that were painted with it, and it took a while to dry but stayed shiny. I didn't measure the exact proportions though, just added enough vodka to the syrup to make it easy to paint onto the fondant.
