Have any of you made this? I made it last night. The batter looked great...nice and fluffy and thick. I was suprised to see how dry it looked when I took it out of the pan. A tiny part of the edge stuck to the pan so I was able to check the inside. It seems really dry. I don't think I overbaked it. Is this typical for this recipe?
I've tried that recipe several times. Different baking times, different pans, etc. I thought it was gross.
As a matter of fact, all the recipes I tried from that book were worthless, and I am a VERY accomplished scratch baker.
I wish I would have saved my money and not purchased that crappy book.
LOL! I have to say that makes me feel much better.
