I am doing a wedding cake and will be driving 2hrs to deliver. They love buttercream but I am unsure what to use. I have a great all Crisco recipe but I think they had the true buttercream in mind. Any advice???? icon_smile.gif

there's just so many different buttercream recipes to choose from...here and on the web. you can always do all shortening, but add butter flavoring to it. icon_wink.gif

Sugarshacks recipe is great. No dairy so it would be fine in a car for two hours. You could use the butter flavoring or any other flavoring to give it a more "traditional" buttercream flavor. You can also experiment with the creamer flavors. When I am doing an almond flavored cake I use the amarhetto flavored creamer. There are so many different flavors out there - fun to play around with.
