A few weeks ago, I made a strawberry WASC, by following the recipe and substituting DH strawberry cake mix for the white and strawberry flavoring for the vanilla and almond. I need to make another this morning and the only cake mix I have is Pillsbury strawberry cake mix with pudding in the mix. Will this work, or will the pudding change things? Should I adjust how much sour cream I put in?
I'm probably to late to answer this for you, but if you are use to one product and happy with how it performs I would stick with that product. I made a french-vanilla sour cream cake with Pillsbury mix instead of DH like I'm use to for a mothers day cake for my mom and I wasn't happy with how it turned out.
