I want to make large cupcakes with filing. Does anyone have the best way to fill the cupcakes with filling?
I just fill a decorating bag with my filling and use an open star tip - just push it in the middle and squeeze some filling in. Works great!
For the larger cupakes, I would maybe do it in a couple places near the center of the cupcake. I don't think once would be enough.
there are several ways you can fill a cupcake. You can use the bismark tip and pipe the filling into the cc; you can take an apple corer and make a cutout in the cc and fill then replace the plug (or not if you just want to fill and make a swirl of frosting the as same the filling); I have used a knife to cut a bit out of the center filled the cc and then placed the cap back on; and you can even just spoon a bit of cake out and fill then cover. I think the bismark or apple corer are the neatest ways to go.
