Would I need to get my permit from the health department BEFORE they'll grant me my business license...or would it be the other way around? Just curious....

And I know it's probably different for each city, but in your experience - have you had to get a permit from the County AND the City you're working in?

Thanks in advance.

My health permit along with my state tax ID number actually serve as my business license. I'm in Houston, TX.

Same here ... sometimes I just think terms and names of different permits, licenses, etc., are used interchangeably, making it very confusing for everyone.

I had my sales tax license before I got my health dept ok.

I had to get my permit from the health dept. first, before I could get my business license.
