using Richtex. I am having a terrible time with Crisco since it changed. Thought I'd try Richtex. Need input.
I have an order in for Sweetex but it wont be in in time for the cakes I'm making today.
I switched to sweetex as I was having a time with crisco as well. I just ordered more sweetex and asked if there were anyother brands of high ratio shortings availible but that was the only brand they could get from the supplier I wanted to compare... Sweetex is great.. I have had no problem at all but I couldnt comment on the other brands.. would sure like to hear about them incase others become availible to me... thanks I am sure your brand is fine.. the hight ratio shorting really does make a great difference.
OK I just made my icing with the richtex and so far I am pleased.
It didnt do the same things the crisco does. It seems smooth and holds shape well.
Crisco would be really slick and wouldnt hold shape puddle in the bowl.
same ingredients and measurements to the letter and BIG difference.
