Hi I was trying to make roses with MMF but havent had much luck. I have been following (youtube) instructions from aine but the MMF alone doesnt seem to be elastic enough. I remember reading that you can add tylose powder to fondant to turn it into gumpaste. Does anyone know how much?

It seems easy enough with a five petal cutter but I think the consistency is not right.

I have tried adding the tylose (or gumTex) to MMF and it just doesn't work well. But if you want to give it a try, it 1 tablespoon per "softball" size MMF. It will start to dry very quickly so make sure whatever you are not using is covered/wrapped in plastic.

I think you did a great job!!! Looks very good. What did you end up doing for the gumpaste???
