Could someone suggest a good book on making fondant figures? I am not feeling very creative at the moment.
don't know of any......however if you go in a craft store you've gotta check out the polymer clay books.....they have awesome step by steps in them that could easily be adapted to fondant/gumpaste figures.
You know the one that I have and have been using is a book on Clay Figures.. It works just the well.. There is a step by step directions.. I got it from Michaels in the Clay Section..
Maisie Parrish has two cute fondant critter books out. Also any of the clay figure books in the clay section of Michaels will do.
i was just reading the responses and i have been wanting to make fondant figures so i too will be heading out to get a book thanks for the info!!!!!!
I also got a cool clay book called "Clay Characters for kids" from Amazon.com and use that too -- it's got some cool ideas and makes them workable.
Try Aine2 tutorials they are a big help: http://www.lorraine-icingonthecake.co.uk/masterclasses/tutorials.htm
Winbeckler has a fondant figure book

I was going to buy that one, but wanted to see if it was worth the money before doing so.
I checked at Michaels the other day, no luck, but it's a smaller Michaels. I will look at the one on the other side of town next week.
Thanks for the help.
I bought some polymer clay books too and they were helpful. I love to watch Aine2 videos also.
