Sinking Fruits

Help, my fruits all sank to the bottom of my friut cake,i read somewhere that you should coat the fruits in flour before adding them to the mixture,i did this,but did not make a difference.

i would like to hear a response on this too! i also coat my fruits in flour before adding them to the batter and they still sink.
