I was wondering if anyone could tell me how to make the cute shaggy dog cakes I have seen. I have read that they are made from buttercream icing but I would like to know in a little more detail how to make them. Thank you for your time. icon_biggrin.gif

When I make these cakes I use a 6" round cut it in half and stand it on the cut side to make his body. Then I use a cupcake cut in half for his front and back legs. I use a whole cupcake for his head and a cupcake cut in half for his ears.
Hope this helps

I just made one last week-
I used a cupcake for the body and a mini cupcake for the head. Then I covered it with buttercream using the hair tip-
