I have MMF made, and I have gumpaste pdr--can I mix together to make figures that will dry faster than fondant alone? running out of time and need to do something--no time to shop. thanks!
If you have gum paste "powder"--do you mean the stuff you mix with water to make gum paste or do you mean gum tex?
If it's gum tex, you can mix some of that dry into the MMF and it should help that dry quicker & harder.
If it's the mix, the obvious is to make up the gum paste and then knead that together with the MMF. That may make the texture of the MMF more like true gum paste, i.e smoother, softer, less prone to cracking, etc.
I've never tried mixing some dry gum paste mix in with fondant, but I don't see why that wouldn't speed up drying, etc. in the same manner as the gum tex.
