i just made ganache 2 cups of chopped chocolate & 3/4 cup milk & 1/3 butter (cuz i didnt have heavy cream) & its watery, what do i do??
I'm making the cake now, so if anyone knows what I can do, Ive tried stirring it for a while & its still watery, sorry to bother ya'll...thanks
I think that the milk and butter might be your problem, but what's done is done. Try whipping the crap out of it. It might work. Good luck!
From what I've read, it's recommended not to substitute butter/milk in a ganache recipe. It just doesn't work as well.
The only thing I can think of is try heating it longer and maybe it will evaporate the liquid. Or you could try refrigerating it and whipping it (if it's meant to frost and not pour).
