do you get a lot of powered sugar sloshed out of your mixer once you start adding the 2nd half?

what speed should we mix on for the 9 minute mix after the scrape down?

While I am adding the sugar I have the mixer on stir or 1. Then I turn it up to 6 and mix for the 9 minutes. I have a plastic guard on the top so the sugar dosen't fly out, but yes it would without that. HTH.

My 4.5 qt 350 watt does. But my 6qt 575 watt doesn't (maybe a little warm, but not hot. The 4.5 qt smells like its burning.
