Does anyone know how many people a double layer cake from the wilton 12 inch pans and 10 inch pans would feed? I might have to make a 2 tier with these cake pans and I want to be able to let the customer know how many people the cake would feed! Please help me! Thanks!
Are these square or round pans? A double layer 12" round would feed about 45 ppl, 10" round about 30 ppl. A double layer 12" square would feed about 60, a 10" about 40.
HTH!

Yes they are round. It probably would make sense if I had added that into the question lol oops! But it does help thanks so much!
If this ever happens again, go to Wilton's website. They have a servings chart for party cakes and wedding cakes.
There's a wonderful chart on the Wilton website that I've printed out and keep in my pan cabinet. It's under the wedding tab, general cake information, then wedding cake data, I believe.

But there ya go, in case I'm wrong.
Wilton's servings seem to be less than the chart I have. My chart states that 12" round (2" pans) feed 56 and 10" (2" pans) feeds 39.
I too keep a printed version of my most popular used pans printed out. It is taped to the wall in my bakery above the pan shelf... great to have when someone calls and you don't have time to say oh you will need this and this size... check out the link posted in this thread.. it is a great tool!
