I need to do a six pack of beer cans for a wedding this weekend. I thought about shaping fonadant around a pop can for the form then stuffing it with cake, needless to say... I can't get the fondant off the can!!!! I am thinking of using R/C treats. What do y'all think?

I have made hollow cylindrical forms for my gumpaste lighthouses by dusting a cardboard tube with cornstarch, rolling out a flat sheet of gumpaste and cutting to size and wrapping it around the tube. I sealed the edges with royal icing or egg white, they didn't stick.

The tops were circles cut with cookie cutters, which I suppose you could use for your top.

You could also bake little cakes in cans (vegetable cans) and then wrap with fondant.

Good Luck!

How about baking in wide mouth mason jars or jelly jars. The cakes just slide out when cool and you would only need to cut the top off flat and cover with fondant.
