I am supposed to email a lady my pricing for some cakes this evening. Is this reasonable?

9x13 for $30, and 11x15 for $40 and mini cupcakes (the bite sized ones) at $10/2 dozen

Thanks in advance, CCers!!

Sure, I think so! That's just over 1.30/serving which is more than reasonable, I don't charge less than 1.50/serving for plain sheet cakes, and remember you should charge more for involved artwork.

Good luck!

Depends on how much decorating you have to do. Any edible images, or gumpaste work that you have to do is all extra. Any fillings? If this is plain cake with a border, it does not sound unreasonable for my customers. If you are doing more, though, the price goes up.

well, a 9 x 13 should feed 20 people. a 11 x 15 should feed 30 people. I personally would charge $125 for the cakes, and $1.00 per bit-size. but it's totally up to you.

Those mini-cupcakes seem way too cheap......

I would probably charge more, but that is just me. I think $10 for 2 dozen miniature cupcakes is not enough. Does that even cover your supplies, time and creativity? I think it depends on your area, too. In my area that is too low. Good luck!

Thanks guys!! I think I will stick with the 9x13 for $30 and make the 11x15 $45; that makes them $1.50 per serving. I SERIOUSLY need to figure a pricing list that I have set ahead of time so that I am not always in a panic!! Now that I am starting to get a pick-up in orders, I need that even more. Thank you guys so much!!
