I am putting these wooden roses on my dummy cakes. I think they are absolutely beautiful.

I may be slow but I am not understanding this. Are those roses made from wood? I want to know more about them and couldn't get the link to work. I love them.
Sorry about not getting the picture to load on this post but I am very computer illiterate.
The roses are made from thin shavings of wood. I met a girl at a Women's Night Out that made bouquets and centerpieces with them. I asked if she made toppers and she brought me 2 of them to display. Her website is: www.dorianswoodenblooms.com
I will post a post in the gallery.
Thanks Shola!
I have posted a pic in the forums before but not often enough that I can remember how to do it....Duh!
I agree, they are beautiful. Did you have to paint them yourself? and then are these then toxic so they can only be used on dummy cakes?
I'm sorry to be so inquisitive, you just sparked by curiousity
No I didn't paint them. They come in about 20 different colors. Check out Dorian's website. www.dorianswoodenblooms.com
As for the dye used in them, I don't know. I would put a circle of parchment or wax paper between the topper and cake anyway. That way the wooden roses wouldn't soak up any grease from a buttercream cake.
The topper is on a 6" cake and her price was super reasonable. When I get my shop open, I will carry them for inventory.
WOW! Love those roses..thanks for sharing...just pulled up site, these are so nice.....
