I really liked the non-smooth frosting....

And the vertical "swipes" are not all angled perfectly - so I thought it was great. icon_smile.gif

The flowers are outstanding...

And she looked beautiful in her simple gown (with no veil) only a few flowers in her hair.

Much prefer this style to say either Donald Trump's or even Tom Cruise's last wedding cakes (which also seemed to have a leaning tier).

Looks to me like everything was nearly perfect, and they look so happy!

Thanks for posting. It looks like it was a great wedding. I looked at more pictures of the wedding online. I like the cake.

The cake looks simple and beautiful, the first thing I looked for was the cake (too much cc??), my first reaction, though, was what's up w/ the top tier?

This was from another thread on this topic...quoted from the Houston Chronicle:

Houston caterer Jackson Hicks and his team provided the three-course meal â a crabmeat tower appetizer, a steak and potatoes main course and wedding cake for dessert. The cake was not the soaring extravaganza typical of White House weddings; it was a simple but lovely confection, we were told.

This is their site: http://www.jacksonandcompany.com/cuisine/weddings.htm

Very impressive clientele. But from the looks of some of their other cakes, I prefer Jenna's.
