Hi everyone,

Can some one tell me if you can use Gum Paste mix to make edible glue? If so, would you be willing to give me the instructions?

Thanks

Gordy

Sure Gordy! Take about 1/4 tsp gumpaste mixed with 1 TBSP water to make gum glue. Let set unti dissolved and use to your heart's content. You can refrigerate this for 1 week but I always make fresh. You can also do this with fondant as well to make a "fondant gum glue" as it were for fondant cakes. It dries evenly with no shine. Hope that helps some. And welcome to CC! icon_biggrin.gif

You just take gum-paste and water and mix it together. the ratio is not an exact science. About a peas size amount of gum-paste and about twice as much water. You can also use vodka as well.
A trick I just learned is to put the glue in a water color pen. (they are empty pens that liquid can go in) Then you always have some ready to go. And the pens have brushes on them so you can just paint the glue on.
