I am thinking of buying Roland Winbeckler's book on fondant figures. I really want to learn how to make them and just can't afford a class right now. Does anyone have this book, can you offer any feedback on it?

If there are any other suggestions on how to learn to do these I would appreciate it! TIA! icon_biggrin.gif

I have that book and its pretty decent, but really any scuplty clay book will work, just leave out the baking part of the directions, and a bit of alteration with the support system if you plan to eat them.

I have it, but honestly (no offense, Roland) I'd rather watch Aine2's videos or use a Sculpey book.

I have a couple, but the one I like best is called "The Sculpey Way With Polymer Clay." Go to the craft store and look through the books, and see which ones have the types of projects you'd like to make.

I just ordered Maisie Parrish's book off of Amazon.com. I saw her work her magic at a demo here in Houston a few months ago and her work is amazing.

I agree with the PPs, it's adequate. It is a good buy for the $ though.

There are how-tos on the sculpey website that are just as good, if not better.
