Just tried my new powdered colours on some gumpaste roses, and boy, am I disappointed! They went from pretty to tacky in under 1 second...I must be using them incorrectly! I tried to brush them on dry, and mixed with clear vanilla, and both were really disastrous! How do you all use these things????

i use a soft shading brush, then dip the brush in the color i'm using and pounce it on a tissue. then starting from the outer edge i brush the color on, it will be darker where you start and gradually get lighter. I only use them dry on my flowers.
