Are you sure they aren't fondant or gumpaste cutters?

They may be. I found them under a google search for cookies. I've just never seen them before. They look kind of neat.

I just ordered some but I ordered them for fondant. I will let you know when i get them. I think they are too shallow to ue as a regular cookie cutter

. . . you may be able to make an impression on a cookie (emboss) with the right recipe . . . but I think the most common use is for use with gumpaste/fondant . . . I would be interested in seeing what you come up with . . . (the butterflies in my gallery utilize these cutters . . . they aren't very thick . . . not like a cookie . . . )
