I have an order for a cake to put the diamond print on the side of the 14". I have the impression mat and I have read that I should roll out the fondant and then put the impression on before I cover the cake, but then I wouldn't know where to put the print..do I do this after I cover the cake and if so, how?

Anyone??? I have found other threads that say to do this after I have covered the cake and then go over with a stitching wheel to make the design more prominent...will this work well?
