I have a cake due Friday and I need to know how to cook this wonder mold cake without the metal stick to put in the middle. I have seemed to misplace it and I'm so desperate!!

Make a 'straw' from aluminum foil. JUst roll it up tightly. Place into batter once pan in in the oven. OR: place a flower nail in the pan on the bottom w/nail up, carefully add batter, then place one on the top of the batter w/the nail sticking down into the batter.

I was going to tell you to roll foil around a spoon.

Thanks Kakeladi;

I lost my core before I was able to use the pan. I contacted Wilton about purchasing a replacement. The representative said no problem - the part was out of stock but will mail it too me and no charge when it came in .

That was 13 months ago. I looked at the pan last night. I am going to try this because I refuse to buy another one.
