I've seen all the recipes for MMF using MM or the fluff. But has anyone made MMF from scratch? I'm talking about making marshmallows then making the fondant?

Just had a wild hair and was wondering if it could be done. What do you think?

If you don't want to use store-bought MM why not use another fondant recipe? The reason MM's are used is because MM's contain gelatin. Michelle Foster's fondant recipe gets raving reviews and it's from scratch. It's also here on CC.

I don't know about homemade, but I do know that Jet-Puffed makes horrible MMF. (It gets rubbery).

I use Wal Mart brand, adding 1 t salt and 1 dram of LoRann butter flavoring plus 1 T glycerine (for pliability).
