How do I go about making them? I'm pretty sure I can handle the body, and the arms, but how do you make the eyes and other facial features??
Also, is it okay to use MMF with a bit of gum tex mixed in?
In hobby stores, there a books for making clay figures. The instructions are the same. 1 tsp of tylose to 1 pound of fondant gets you a fairly good product for making figures.
The only hobby store I have access to is Michael's, and they don't have them at our store. Does anybody know of an online tutorial?
I would also like to know this if anyone can help! I think it's about time there's a tutorial made for this on CC...we have other tutorials...can someone lend us a hand?
When I make my faces they are more playful and whimsical so I don't have a detailed face scupted. If you want a really realistic face you can find people molds online. Micheals has molds on occasion back by the clay. Hope that helps.
Here is a link to another thread about this.
Maybe some of those comments will help you!
I just ordered the female character tutorial!! I hope the access info arrives so that I can give it a try tonight!
