How do I go about making them? I'm pretty sure I can handle the body, and the arms, but how do you make the eyes and other facial features??

Also, is it okay to use MMF with a bit of gum tex mixed in?

In hobby stores, there a books for making clay figures. The instructions are the same. 1 tsp of tylose to 1 pound of fondant gets you a fairly good product for making figures.

The only hobby store I have access to is Michael's, and they don't have them at our store. Does anybody know of an online tutorial?

When I make my faces they are more playful and whimsical so I don't have a detailed face scupted. If you want a really realistic face you can find people molds online. Micheals has molds on occasion back by the clay. Hope that helps.
