I need a recipe for Sugar Cookie Dough For Decorating Cookies. I've tried a few and even bought sugar cookie dough, but once i use the cookie cutters to cut the cookies and then bake them they double in size. I need a good recipe for the dough, i need somthing that won't double in size during baking

The sugar cookie recipe in the back of the wilton yearbook (the single recipe NOT the big recipe) is great for holding shape and making thick nice cookies. Now as for taste...... its not great. Its ok and edible but more for looks.
I use the betty crocker sugar cookie mix in the bags. I add flour to it before mixing. It keeps a nice shape and tastes good.
I use the No Fail Sugar Cooke recipe from here on CC. If you fridge the cut out cookies before cooking, they really do retain their shape and they are tasty too.
