hey i am making a birthday cake for my niece. I was looking at the recipes on this site... and there are some good ones. In fact there are so many that I'm a little overwhelmed... icon_confused.gif . So I need some good filling/cake combinations. I plan on using buttercream icing and MMF... but the cake and filling can be anything that tastes good together. THANKS!!! icon_biggrin.gif

Well, my favourites are a white cake made with the cake mix extender, and raspberry buttercream filling

and raspberry cake with lemon buttercream filling

Hon that's hard because everyone has different tastes.
I am a true chocoholicicon_smile.gif but I really like a lemon cake w/raspberry fill.
Also butter pecan cake w/apple fill OR bavarian cream.

I am a chocolate lover too so I love a good chocolate cake with a strawberry filling (I just use strawberry jam/jelly and icing to make a mix). For the chocolate cake substitute strawberry flavoring for whatever flavoring is called for. Yummy!!!
