My friend loves smbc, but we want to do an ocean scene, so I want to use marbelized fondant to create the scene. I've used smbc before, but it seems like its very light and I'm worried about it not holding up under the fondant.

Yep! The Castle, Kimono, and Hat cakes in my pics are all fondant over SMBC. It holds up just fine. Before you put your fondant on the cakes, make sure the iced cake has been refridgerated long enough that the SMBC is nice and hard, then proceed like normal!
