Hi everyone!!

So, I had a request for a fountain of youth cake??! I almost refused considering she's turning 30. icon_rolleyes.gif I am stumped!

I am looking for any ideas of how to do such a cake? It is such an odd request. I am definitely a beginner, so they understand if we have to do a plan B. Luckily, they are friends of mine.

Thank you for any suggestions! thumbs_up.gif

a little obvious but fun..... old style water fountain that bubbled the water out of a center cone.

big layer for base.

tall column of stacked rounds (doweled and boarded every two layer just like any tiers of cake) -- at least two tiers worth

then RKT for the bowl and mini-wonder mold for the "bubbler" part.

detail as shown.

for extra fun -- carve the bowl out a bit and put dead leaves, assorted little animal bones, spider and its web, etc. to show it's been closed a LONG time.

How clever! Thank you so much! It is a tough request because they want it to be humerous at the same time. This is perfect!

You are so kind to share!

Thank you!

That's a great idea Doug! I'll have to store that in my brain somewhere, and hope I can remember it when I need it!
