Icing/filling Help?

I've made a 9inch 2 layer round lemon cake for my SILs birthday. I have only one cup of lemon curd, and then lots of buttercream....the cakes have been torted, so I have three layers to fill- should I do two with buttercream with lemon in the middle, or should I maybe try to mix the lemon curd and buttercream together for one big lemonbuttercream filling? LOL.

I always like to do two bc layers and then a fruit or filling layer in the middle.

both sound yummy but i would use the lemon curd in the middle layer and then use the bc in the top anbd bottom layers but add a little lemon extract to it and a little yellow color, that way you will have more "wow" factor when its cut and a little light lemon flavore mixed in with the stronger lemon curd will be balence our nice by the regular bc on the outside of the cake.
