The last 2 times I have bought CS at Sams in the 7 pound bags I have had gritty icing with bitter gritty clumps in it . Makes me so mad icon_mad.gif

I agree. Lately, the Sam's powdered sugar does seem to make the icing more gritty in texture. It is frustrating!

Thanks for the warning. I was going to try it to cut some cost out of my icing but I guess I'd rather spend a little more and not have the grit. Hopefully they will get it straightened out.

I buy it all the time and have no trouble with it.

I haven't had a problem, I am down to my last bag so it's time to buy more.

Actually I haven't had a problem with the sugar. In fact my icing has come out alot better than before. I went and stocked up on it just the other day.

I have some good news! I just bought some 6X p.sugar at GFS and it is soooooooo much better than the other stuff I had been using. It makes such a smooth icing. A 25lb. box was $12.79 or something like that. If you have a Gordon Food Service nearby give it a shot! I love it!
