My nephew is coming to spend the weekend with us (we only see him twice a year icon_sad.gif ), so the only thing that I know he likes is Video Games.
Any ideas? The new thing for here is Guitar Hero (I don't have a guitar pan and have never shaped a cake on my own, lol).

well I dont have a guitar hero cake but here's one I did for a 13 year old who liked war craft video games.

you could do a sheet cake with a pic of the game on it something similar to mine.

If you want to do a guitar cake with no pan its really easy. Make a template from some poster board and use that as a guide when carving the cake. You won't really have to carve it, just cut the guitar shape out.
Just a suggestion, good luck!

you could also use rice paper or frosting sheets for edible printers and use edible markers to make logos for game or trace out pics or frozen butter cream transfers or chocolate transfers for the characters or logos also.

I was thinking of a frozen buttercream transfer for the guitar hero logo...I've been looking online but the words are broken up when I try to save it.

instead of saving it, try to copy and paste it in a word doc., that way you can make it the right size and print it as a mirror image for the fbct.

You could also do a X-Box cake with controls. Not as hard, but still very "boyish". Maybe make an image of the game and put it on a "cd cover". Sounds like you are a great aunt!!

Ok, I found the Guitar Hero Logo. I tried to do it as an attachment, but it was too many pixels or something like that. So Now I want to see if I can find like a cartoon version of a guy playing a guitaricon_smile.gif

And thanks bmbard, we just don't get to see him very often (bad breakup with my brother and his ex-wife.... icon_cry.gif )
