Ok, now my hubby is a HUGE fan of Alton Brown and his show Good Eats on Food Network. He is all about science and food, if you havent ever seen the show.

He made this recipe:,1977,FOOD_9936_159007,00.html

OMG! I tweaked it just a bit, and used the vanilla recipe and made strawberry instead. I used a container of frozen sliced strawberries. I substituted the water for the strawberry juice after the strawberries defrosted. I also added about 1/2 cup of finely diced strawberries to the mix.

IT WAS THE BEST! Everyone RAVED over these cupcakes! I just frosted with a little vanilla bean buttercream (my own creation) in a little swirl, and everyone went crazy! You have gotta try it!

My hubby has set up our TiVO to record Good Eats everytime it comes on! Hes a huge science/computer/nerd/geek, so it actually gets him interested in cooking with me, which is nice for me.
