So, I figured this would/could be a fun topic.

Are you spending your stimulus check on cake stuff??

I was going to send my check as a car payment, but decided I'm been working hard and saving a lot so I'm going to splurge!

I have Elis Strauss Confetti Cakes, a Motif book, the Cake Doctor, a wedding cake book all waiting for me in my overstock.com shopping cart - and I'm still not done!!!

I would love an Agbay, but I think I am going to have to use it to get my yard done (new house = no yard). I would love to use it for Cake Camp too.

I'm going to buy some cake dummies too with half the money and practice some wedding cakes.

The other half will have to go to pay for gas.

It's up to 3. 65 here in ky.

Mine will be going to pay for my husband's lasik he HAD to have done to get hired at the police department and he really hated working at Target. He loves being a cop so it was worth it. I am actually working on spending the rest of the money the VA gave me. I am going to get custom pens to give out for my business and a few other things. Oh by the way I love my agbay.

Same here. My cake eaters are a 45 minute drive each way, and with gas at $3.61 (in the piedmont of NC), just can't do it. So if I can pry some cash out of hubby's hands (HE wants to pay down our two credit cards. HOW I ask you, is that going to help the economy? Huh???icon_confused.gif ) I want to order several different shaped sets, so I can practice to my heart's content, without having to run up the natural gas bill and pay for all the supplies of 'real' cakes that no one will eat.

If I'm lucky and he lets me have enough to play with, I might also try some of the Satin Ice fondant, just to see what 'real' fondant is like. icon_razz.gif

They just started sending them out this monday i believe...
and they go by social security number or something like that I read it! according to our number we should be getting them deposited like around the 18th, but since they started early, they should get here around the 14th....

BTW, I had soo many hopes and dreams for this money...until I got a bill from my college that I have to repay financial aid because I didnt finish my courses...so....there goes $500.....

but my husband already got to order his new drumset icon_sad.gif

well if anyone wants to know the company I can try and pm or email to you.

Yeah, it's terrible that they are sending out these checks to stimulate the economy and then raise gas so you end of spending that money on that.

Where's the love government.

Mine was sitting in my bank account Tuesday morning! Already got it transferred into my money market where it will sit to accumulate interest. (Remember you do have to pay it back next year---it's really a 2008 tax advance).

Then whatever I need after depriving my actual savings will go towards the appliances, water heater, carpet, new vinyl tile, etc. in my recently purchased HUD home.

chutzpah,
Not a tax refund. I don't know where you are (US or not) but back in Feb-Mar. the government approved an ecomonic stimulus package. According to your status (single, married, married w/kids, etc...) and how much you make, you will get a check anywhere from $300 to $2100 - or something like that. For the most part if you are single w/o kids you will get $600, couples get $1200 plus $300 for each kid.

reesesob,
According to a post from HEath in another thread, only certain Web sites are blocked due to legal and spam issue. He did not say which ones.

AND I forgot who wrote this - but I totally want to get some promo pens!!
