I know how to make a bow loop without it and put it together with gum glue and royal icing.. but I am not quite understand the concept of the wire. I know it would make it look better.. but do you stick a flower pik down in the cake to put the wires in ? And are they harder to form the bow?

I take it you are talking about a ribbon bow tied with wire??

I tried doing Aine2's tutorial and it was quite easy to do.
I want to do a ribbon bow for my sister's 50th wedding anniversary
cake, so I tried this.
She makes a whole lot of "little bows" then ties them all together
into one big bow. And, yes, I think she does use a flower pick to
put the wires into with a bit of fondant.

Hope you come right!
