Does anyone have any tips for creating a flower cascade onto a cake for royal icing flowers? The cake isn't stacked but each tier on a seperate cake stand. I welcome any advice!!! icon_razz.gif

I just finished a cake yesterday so I haven't had a chance to put on pics yet. It was stacked, but, it was MMF with approx. 20 royal icing peach petunias cascading down the layers, so each layer could be seperate.

What I did was use royal icing to glue them on or put a mound of royal icing to raise a few of them up off the cake for dimenion and then tucked in royal icing leaves to fill in the blank areas or unsightly spaces that are sometimes left. None of them fell off and everyone loved it.

I have heard of people using toothpicks too... I haven't done a cascade, so no personal experience... Sorry...

Good luck! icon_smile.gif
