How Much Should I Charge?

does anyone have a price range for making character cakes? i have several people that want me to make these,but i have no idea how much to charge. there aren't any bakeries around here that make anything comperable so i am at a total loss.

I don't do them any more, but i wouldn't do one for less then $30, they are alot of work. Mixing all the colors and piping all those stars.

I hate to be the one to rain on the parade, but you can't sell character cakes. At least not if they are licensed characters like spongebob, elmo, lighting mcqueen, etc. It's against copyright laws (which would be why bakeries aren't offering them). You can sell the lamb and bear and generic things like that though. If you read the label on the licensed character pans it states they are for home use only.
