Hi all!

I am wondering if I can make flowers (roses) from mmf?

Does anyone have a tried and true recipe/method for making mmf?

I went to reference FlowerGirlMN info on making it and her posts were deleted. Is she on here anymore? I hope she's okay, I haven't "seen" her around lately.

As always, any help is appreciated! icon_smile.gif

Yes you can make roses from mmf. i just made 125 of them for the mini-cake wedding cake last weekend. It did take some time be it worked. The recipe I use is:
1 16 ounce bag of mini marshmallows
1 2 pound bag of powder sugar
corn syrup
flavoring
water
shortening

Add 1/2 of your powder sugar to the mixer. Put marshamllows in a big bowl and sprinkle 2 Tbsp of water, 1 Tbsp vanilla and 1 Tbsp of almond flavoring. Melt marshmallows and stir. Then pour in the mixer and start mixing. After the first 1/2 of powder sugar is incorporated add a heaping Tbsp of corn syrup and rest of pwder suagr, change paddle to the kneading hook and start mixing again. Keep mixing until forms a ball. Pour out and knead with shortening covered hands.

This may be the recipe you already use, I don't remember where I got it.

HTH!
Missy

Thanks to you too Missy!

Wow 125 roses! I can't imagine!

This will be my first time making them and I hope I only need about 15-20. That's stressing me out, I just can't imagine 125. Of course you are probably a pro!

Appreciate the help ladies! icon_smile.gif
