What kind of time you have to devote to this? I would suggest (not knowing your schedule) to bake Wed. and throw everything in the freezer. Make icing Thurs and decorate on Friday. Just take everything out of the freezer late Thurs. early Fri.
Good Luck!

I had the same order last weekend. I made my cupcakes a couple of days ago and just freeze them with the 6in cake.. I set them out a day before and icing them.

work backwards to see how long this will actually take.

can you fit 24 cupcakes into your oven at the same time? if so, you only need to do 8 baking batches ... at about 15-20 min each, that's 2 to 2.5 hours baking time. Add another 30 minutes for the 6". 3 hours baking time, tops. Baking these a day or two ahead and freezing is a great step (and reduces the clean up on decorating day.)

How detailed are the cupcakes? One big swirl on top or fondant flowers and figurines?
