I just had to share- On Thursday, DH and I went to a taping of her show, Paula's Party. It was so much fun! THe theme was Christmas and we were told to wear our Christmas best! DH and I must of looked good because they put us at a table that would be on camara the entire time!
Paula was lovely- just like she is on the show. She is so funny and sweet. Michael was there, too! (To bad for me, we missed her boys!)
I can't wait for the show to air- not til December!

Oh, you lucky girl!!! We were in Savannah last year and went to The Lady and Sons. We also went to Uncle Bubba's. Bubba was at his place, but not a sight of Paula. How fun to get to be there for the show taping.

Lucky, lucky you!! I am so jealous!!! I adore Paula Deen, and I would love to be able to go to the taping of her show. She just seems so sweet, and real!! Not pretentious at all! Let us know when the show is going to air!!

I just saw a PBS interview of her today. She was agoraphobic (sp?) for many years. Very interesting and sweet lady.

I am so jealous. I was just in the states and managed to catch about 10 min of that show. How I wish I could have spent more time watching TV! On Food Network Canada, they are so slow at adding new shows. I hope they bring it here.

I'm envious! SHe is my food hero....we even share the same birthday!

If I found a genie in a bottle, I'd use my one wish to be able to spend time with her!

I still can't believe I got to meet her! The WHOLE theme was butter- there was a huge butter snowman. She made shepard's pie, turkey and stuffing and a spice cake. (of course, all made with 9,000 sticks of butter)
We didnt get to try any food, but it looked amazing!
The show wont air until december, but I'll be sure to let you know when!!

I subscribe to her newsletter- (I get in in my email about once a month) and in it, it has her travel schedule. That's how I found out about the taping. I had to wait 2 months to go- I was driving DH crazy! I was just so excited to meet her- I think she is a fabulous woman!

I L-O-V-E Paula!! I always tell my hubby, "I just need to be her next door neighbor!" You know, she's the kind of person you'd love to be a friendly neighbor with. Have cookouts and just hang out. She seems like so much fun! And yes... SO much more genuine than most hosts you see!

I'm SOOOO jealous!!! She's is such a hoot - I just love her to death! Yeah too bad her sons weren't there......I have a secret crush on Bobby...shhhhh.........!!

Cool! I will have to watch more! My mom loves her, but I don't get to watch her much. Theres always something else I watch, but I will make an effort now to watch HER

My next door neighbors granddaughter is best friends with one of Bubba an his wifes children. Her mother took the girl home one day , to Aunt Paula!!!! I would have peed in my pants!!!

She said they just drove right up an went in the back door and into the KITCHEN!!!! Paula came out and talked to them and offered them a Coke. She said she didn't have anything cooked, she had a package of store cookies....we all cheat sometimes!!!

I told her I wanted to come down and go see her. I would give my left an right arms to get to sit in her kitchen with her!!!

I think I've told you all before, but my cousin was one of Paula's bridesmaids, in pictured in the background of her "Friends" cookbook, and she and my aunt have recipes featured in the cookbook. My cousin is "Bubbles" and her mom is 'Rene.

I'm in PA and they are all in GA, so I will probably never have the opportunity to meet Paula. The only time I see this particular cousin is when someone dies. I'd love to have a cup of coffee with Paula and chat. She seems like she'd be so interesting. I'd also like to see if she really does all the finger licking off camera.

I'm in Mississippi... and on May 28th, 2008, Paula's opening up a buffet style restaurant in Harrah's Casino about 10 miles from us... Guess where this ole girl's gonna be.... You guessed it!!! A friend of mine own's a flooring company that is laying the floor for the restaurant now. She said it's gonna be as "down home" as Paula is. Of course, here in Mississippi, EVERYBODY is down home!

Y'all keep watch for Paula's new restaurant to open, and when you're in my neck of the woods... y'all can come stay with me! We'll all bake cakes and take them to her!!!
