How do you dip them in chocolate, etc and make them look so nice??? WHat are you using??

When I try they just sink in the chocolate and then come out all clumpy, never a smooth pretty shell...

i drop them in the chocolate then scoop them out with a fork, the tops looks nice. Ive wondered what else to use many times and am eager to see other peoples comments.
