IMBC? SMBC? I've yet to try either.

My friend (the bride) prefers a whipped cream-like icing for her fondant covered cake. (One that tastes like her childhood b-day cakes, so I'm assuming it was Bettercreme)
I keep hearing mixed opinions about Bettercreme under fondant, plus I've never used it or know if they have it here.

Not sure what to do. icon_sad.gif

I have not ever made either IMBC or SMBC but from what I have heard it is like eating a stick of butter icon_sad.gif Neither would taste like Rich's - which is more like CoolWhip (but not so moist).
I have also read that you cannot put fondant over Rich's or Pastry Cream.
Maybe you could add some Rich's to your b'cream? About 1/3 Rich's to 2/3 b'cream

I'll even take just ideas on a tasty, light textured icing to compliment fudge marble cake under fondant.
