At Hobby Lobby, in the clay department, they have different kinds of molds and in the same area they have the soap molds which are just plastic. Can you use any of these molds for candy or fondant or should I stick to the molds in the candy dept. only?
TIA

ive used the soap molds to make chocolates before
so I would say go ahead and used them for the fondant.
I might be wrong but Ive never had a problem with them

Yes, you can. They are essentially the same. One of the shell molds that I used for my shell cake are soap molds. You just want them to be clean and have no residue.
