Does anybody have any tips on making a guitar cake with about 10 servings? I know the guitar pan serves 12 but I would like to carve the cake out to make it a little more realistic than the guitar pan.

What size cakes would work best for this? I have made one gultar cake (in my pics) but it was huge-life size.

Suggestions please.

I would start w/a 12x8 for carving but not sure what to do for the 'neck'....maybe a 6" sq? HTH

That is still going to give you more cake than needed but sometimes it just has to be. And be sure you charge for the amount of cake you use!
Not just for 10 servings. When people want these special, carved, sculpted cake they need to realize it's going to cost big bucks.

I have made a guitar cake...I used a 11x15 cake and I made a template for the bottom and the neck. At the right dimentions you can cut the neck on the outter edge and use a chunk in between the body and the neck for the top. Hard to say how many mine fed, but more than 10. PM me and I will e-mail you a picture.
