Shipping Cupcakes?

I need some help with shipping cupcakes! I have never sone it before, and I dont know where to start icon_cry.gif I want them to end up in the place at least in one piece icon_lol.gif If any one has ideas, please HELP! icon_surprised.gif I did a search for shipping cupcakes, but when I click on it it says no posts? Any help would be appreciated, THANKS!!!! icon_biggrin.gif

I've only shipped cupcakes once...from the midwest to Arizona. They were frozen and shipped in the winter. However, they didn't do so well. If I were to do it again, I would fill them with buttercream and top with fondant. Another idea is the cake truffle. If you can, why not do that? I ship from the midwest to upper east coast and put them in clean egg cartons. They do great!
